This album is dedicated to the memory of my beautiful mother Madge (1920-2015).
The tracks on ‘Southern Cross’ were recorded, mixed & mastered by Jim Ottaway between May 2013 & February 2016.
Equipment & software used for this production includes: RME Fireface 800, Studio One, Cubase, Korg Karma, Yamaha Motif ES, Roland XV-5050, & various VSTs including Omnisphere, Alchemy, Clara’s Vocals, Morphology, ART Pyrite, SynthMaster & Cygnus.

At night when I look out my studio window (Gold Coast hinterland, Australia) I can often get a glimpse of the constellation of Crux which features the beautiful Southern Cross. The Southern Cross consists of five stars, all of which are represented in tracks on this album. These five stars are believed to be 10 to 20 million years old. I have tried to capture the beauty and mystique of the Southern Cross in this album. Close your eyes, relax and enjoy the journey to the Southern Cross...

Additional notes: 'Southern Cross' debuted at #68 on the One World Music Radio Top 100 Chart in May 2016 and rose to #27 position in June 2016. It moved up to #6 in July 2016 and to #4 in August 2016. It remained at #4 on the September 2016 chart and then dropped to #20 on the October chart. In the November 2016 chart 'Southern Cross' moved up once again to #8. 'Southern Cross' dropped to #21 on the December 2016 chart; to #34 on the January 2017 chart; and to #60 on the February chart. It rose again to #42 in March 2017. 'Southern Cross' debuted at #52 on the Zone Music Reporter Top 100 Airplay Chart in May 2016, dropped out of the chart in June and then re-entered the chart in July at #69. 'Southern Cross' steadily climbed the ZMR chart... #48 in August; #31 in September; #27 in October; and up to #22 on the November 2016 chart. 'Southern Cross' dropped to #51 on the December 2016 chart. 'Southern Cross' re-entered the June 2020 chart at #92. 'Southern Cross' was a nominee for Album of the Year and Best Electronic Album in the 2016 One World Music Radio Awards. In late September 2016 'Southern Cross' was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2016 Global Music Awards in the USA. 'Southern Cross' was the featured album on New Zealand's Sleep Radio during early November 2016.
