The tracks on ‘Beyond the Purple Sun’ were recorded, mixed & mastered by Jim Ottaway between October 2010 & February 2019. All tracks are live improvised studio recordings with minimal overdubs. Early versions of 'Celestial Rainbows' were released under the titles 'MFF2 - Scene 28' & 'Rainbow Bridge'.
Equipment & software used for this production includes: RME Fireface 800, Studio One, Cubase, Korg Karma, Yamaha Motif-Rack ES, Yamaha MX49 & various VSTs.

'Beyond the Purple Sun' was featured as the Album of the Week (Album der Woche) on Germany's Modul303 internet radio station in early April 2019 (#14) and was the featured album on New Zealand's Sleep Radio during early April 2019. 'Beyond the Purple Sun' debuted at #29 on the One World Music Radio Top 100 Chart for April 2019 and climbed one notch to #28 on the May 2019 chart. The album dropped to #48 on the June 2019 chart. 'Beyond the Purple Sun' debuted at #2 on the New Age Music Chart (New Age Music Guide) for April 2019. 'Beyond the Purple Sun' debuted at #8 on the Zone Music Reporter Top 100 Chart for April 2019 and remained at #8 on the May 2019 chart. The album dropped to #15 on the June 2019 chart; to #27 on the July 2019 chart; and then to #44 on the August 2019 chart. The album climbed once again on the ZMR chart for September 2019 to #24 and slipped 7 notches to #31 in October 2019. The album dropped to #39 on the November 2019 chart. The album re-entered the chart at #42 on the January 2020 chart and remained steady at #42 on the February 2020 chart.
